WHO IS EMMA?
Emergency Medical Management Associates, Inc. is a management service organization that provides administrative support for local medical organizations throughout California. We are physician owned and dedicated to outstanding emergency medical care and outstanding patient satisfaction.
The specific elements of EMMA are as follows:

PHILOSOPHY
EMMA is committed to a philosophy that holds emergency medical care as a basic right of those who are ill or injured. EMMA is committed to providing such treatment without discrimination of any kind. Â
EMMA was founded by Michael S. Agron, M.D. in 1989, and since have been working with our clients to create nationally awarded programs in Chest Pain and Cardiology. Several of our clients have been nationally recognized as Top 100 Heart Hospital programs in both 2001 and 2002.
EMMA has developed its infrastructure to expand its presence in California, while maintaining its local approach in its management and medical staff relations. Our local approach is a key factor in EMMA’s relations with our client’s hospitals and its medical staff and administration.
LEADERSHIP
Dr. Michael Agron, M.D. is the founder and current Chief Executive Officer of EMMA. Dr. Agron is a board certified emergency physician who has been practicing in California for over twenty-five years. Dr. Agron is active in the California American College of Emergency Physicians (CAL/ACEP) and has served as President of the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Directors Association (LACEMDA).Â
His professional society memberships include: the American Medical Association, American College of Emergency Physicians, and the California Medical Association.
He received his BS in Mathematics from Indiana University at Bloomington, his MD from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville and attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for his internship and residency.
